More than 140 students from 11 schools throughout Luzerne County, as well as the Tunkhannock Area School District, participated in the event. Each student must be nominated to compete by their high school’s mathematics department.
The contest is held in conjunction with Wilkes University and features individual and team competitions in senior and junior divisions. The first-place individuals in both divisions each won a full scholarship to Wilkes University. MMI’s first place team members also received a prize.
