MMI offers all area school children an opportunity to make their summer vacation enjoyable and educational at the same time through annual Summer Camps.
A variety of camps are offered in morning and afternoon sessions across a four-week period. 2019 camps include: Let's Get Crafty Camp, Silly Storybook Theater Camp, Sports Camp, Ooey Gooey Science Camp, Brick Building with Lights and Sound Camp, Crafty Messy Art Camp, The Incredible Wall Hugging Mouse Robot Camp, Cake Decorating Camp, Lego Maniacs/Claymation Camp, Time Traveler Camp, Super Powers Film Camp, Wher in the World? Geography Camp, Disney on Stage Camp, Drawing Camp, Make it and Take it Home Science Camp, Dance Camp, and Egyptian Dig Camp.
MMI faculty and staff, along with instructors from Sciensational Camps and Box of Light, lead the summer camps on MMI’s campus at 154 Centre Street in Freeland. Although each camp is open to certain age groups, there are offerings for students from ages 6 through 15.
Each summer camp is held for two and a half to three hours each day over five days. Parents may sign their child(ren) up for multiple camps. Children attending two camps in a day should bring a bag lunch.
