There is no guarantee that any elective will fit into a student schedule as their availability will be largely dependent upon other course choices
made by the student in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades and fulfillment of graduation requirements. Only one course may be taken from each
elective set in any given academic year.

12th Grade Only

10th & 12th Grade
10th grade must select one

  • AP Biology*
  • Computer Programming

 

Note: There is no 12th grade science course. However, students must complete four science courses between 9th-12th grade. Any Senior who needs
their fourth science course to meet this graduation requirement must choose a Senior Core Science (options are indicated with an *)

 

Online Elective Courses

MMI will make available the following online elective courses through the FlexPoint Education Cloud (https://www.flvsglobal.net/):
AP Computer Science A, AP Psychology, Cyber Security Essentials, and American Sign Language
11th and 12th grade students in good academic standing can replace one course taught in elective blocks A, B, and C12 with an online elective course.

These courses will not count toward graduation requirements. Courses will be noted on the student’s MMI transcript, and a transcript indicating the course
and final grade from FlexPoint Education Cloud will be included with official transcript requests. Grades earned from these courses will not contribute to
the student’s GPA.

 

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

AP courses REQUIRE that a student acknowledge the information in the
AP Letter and meet the grade and teacher recommendation criteria outlined in the letter.
