MMI Preparatory School held an induction ceremony on February 4 for students who joined the National Art Honor Society.
The students inducted into MMI’s Chroma Chapter are Victoria Kline, daughter of Dr. John and Dr. June Kline, Mountaintop; Danielle Pileggi, daughter of Daniel and Sandra Pileggi, Albrightsville; Kryslyn Postupack, granddaughter of Andrew and Mary Postupack, Hazleton; and Erin Sari, daughter of Izzet and Mumine Sari, Sugarloaf.
This is the fifth year for the MMI Chroma Chapter of the National Art Honor Society. During the ceremony, MMI art instructor Lisa Ferry welcomed guests and explained the history of the art honor society. The guest speaker was Dominic J. DeJoseph ’84, owner of Black Shoe Films. DeJoseph graduated from Ithaca College in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in Film, Photography, and Visual Arts. Black Shoe Films has produced films, music videos, and live streams for international companies and brands over the past decade. Previous clients and associations include Doc Channel, (RED), R.E.M., SnagFilms, Warner Brothers Records, Wim Wenders Productions, and others.
Following the induction ceremony, Charles Bower, MMI’s Chroma Chapter vice president, and Devon Faul, MMI’s chapter president, addressed the new members. Ferry provided closing remarks and Bower ended the ceremony playing the piano.
