The MMI Prepper Playhouse is presenting Disney’s Beauty and the Beast on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12 at 7:00 P.M. in the MMI Athletic and Drama Complex, 154 Centre Street in Freeland.
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast tells a classic tale as old as time about Belle (Lindsey Walko), a young woman from a small provincial town in France, and the Beast (Luke Yamulla), who is really a young prince trapped under an enchantress’ curse. If the Beast learns to love and be loved, the curse will be broken and he will be transformed. If the Beast does not learn his lesson, he and his household will be doomed forever.
The show presents Garrett Kost as Gaston, Andrew Decker as Maurice, Adam Tron as LeFou, and Dylan Slusser as Monsieur D’Arque. The enchanted household features Evan Dryfoos as Cogsworth, Gabriella DeMelfi as Lumiere, Sarah Moyer as Mrs. Potts, Logan Slusser as Chip, Julia Snyder as Mademoiselle De La Grande Bouche (Wardrobe), and Kaitlyn Bellizia as Babette.
The ensemble members of the cast are Kyle Falatko, Lauren Herman, Kelisa Hysenbegasi, Amanda Kalada-Kania, Athena Nicholas, Alyssa Sweda, Daniel DeMelfi, Joseph Taylor, Morgan Hosier, Millie Symbula, Maria Olson, Emily Ryan, Anna Cabell, Sydney Kohl, Jacqueline Snyder, Jordan Kulsa, Ashley Loss, Amelia Minzola, Ella Urosevich, Nathan Thayer, Alex Smith, and Peter Walko. The stage and scenery crew is led by Erin Sari, serving as stage manager and Stephanie Zellner as assistant stage manager. Crew members include Lauren Toscano, Lauren Babinetz, Angelica Alday, Kyle McGuire, Charles Dick, Alistair Plotnick, Morgan Strecker, Benjmain Zhao, Connor Spencer, Gina Galada, Althea Stewart, Macy Zenier, Madyson Hornack, Callain Blasko, Keenan Overa, and Daniel Tron.
This Prepper Playhouse production is under the guidance of Joanne Oakum, MMI drama program director, and Lisa Ferry, art and crew director. Harrison Ingemarson serves as music director and Susan Moyer is the costume coordinator for the show.
