MMI Preparatory School will host its annual Summer Camps beginning June 25. The camps are open to all area school children and provide a fun-filled and educational experience.
The camps will be offered in morning and afternoon sessions from the week of June 25 to the week of July 23. Topics include Asian and Spanish Cook and Craft camps, Ooey Gooey Science Camp, Sports Camp, Lego Robotics Camp, Messy Art Camp, Magnetic Levitation Camp, Cake Decorating Camp, Dance Camp, Musical Theatre Camp, and Chemical Magic Camp.
MMI faculty and staff along with instructors from Sciensational Camps and Box of Light will lead the summer camps on MMI’s campus at 154 Centre Street in Freeland. Although each camp is open only to certain age groups, there are offerings for students from ages six through 15. A full list of camps, dates and times are listed below.
Each summer, camp runs for three hours each day over five days and costs just $150. Parents may sign their child up for multiple camps. Children attending two camps in a day should bring their lunch and will be supervised between sessions.

Camps running the week of June 25 are Asian Cooking and Craft Camp for ages 9-5 (from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), Ooey Gooey Science Camp for ages 6-13 (9 a.m. to Noon), Sports Camp for ages 6-13 (12:30-3:30 p.m.), Lego Robotics Camp for ages 6-14 (12:30-3:30 p.m.), and Spanish Cooking and Craft Camp for ages 9-15 (12:30-3:30 p.m.).
Camps running the week of July 9 are Messy Art Camp for ages 6-11 (9 a.m. to Noon), Magnetic Levitation Camp for ages 7-12 (9 a.m. to Noon), Hovercraft/Egg Drop Car Camp for ages 7-12 (12:30-3:30 p.m.), Spanish Cooking and Craft Camp for ages 9-15 (12:30-3:30 p.m.), and Silly Storybook Theatre Camp for ages 6-11 (12:30-3:30 p.m.).
Camps running the week of July 16 are Cake Decorating Camp for ages 9-15 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.)-only two spots remaining! Lego Maniacs/Claymation Camp for ages 7-14 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), Sports Camp for ages 6-13 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), Dance Camp for ages 6-14 (12:30-3:30 p.m.), and Zombie Film Camp for ages 9-14 (12:30-3:30 p.m.).
Camps running the week of July 23 are Ooey Gooey Science Camp for ages 6-13 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), Harry Potter Camp for ages 6-12 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), Musical Theatre Camp for ages 6-14 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12:30-3:30), Drawing Camp for ages 9-15 (12:30-3:30 p.m.), and Chemical Magic Camp for ages 6-12 (12:30-3:30 p.m.).
