Assemblies
The MMI Student Assembly Program is a cornerstone of our commitment to nurturing confident, articulate, and engaging young leaders. Through this program, students will develop essential public speaking skills that are critical for success in both academic and professional settings. Our goal is to provide an authentic platform for students to showcase their ability to craft compelling narratives, conduct relevant research, effectively incorporate multimedia tools, and deliver speeches with confidence and poise. It is essential that MMI students continue to develop these skills in a rigorous, yet supportive and adaptive learning environment, as we seek to further evolve this program to make it even more impactful for our students and MMI as a whole.
We believe every student has a unique story to tell, and we are excited to witness the diverse and inspiring presentations they will bring to the stage. In 2024-25, MMI Students will present a Student Assembly according to the following schedule:
- 10th and 11th Grade Program – Students will present in person before their peers in the school cafeteria in the month of October.
- 9th Grade Program – Students will present in person before their peers in the school cafeteria in the month of November.
- Middle School Program – Students in 6th – 8th grade will present within each student’s respective grade level Workshop Class in the month of January.
Each assembly will be graded using the MMI Student Assembly scoring form. Students who earn an Excellent (E) rating will receive a prize, and the highest-scoring presentations in each grade level will be recognized as the “Best of the Best.” These top presenters will have the opportunity to showcase their assemblies before the entire MMI Student Body and receive special recognition and accolades for their efforts.
The MMI Student Assembly Program is a tradition our alumni remember with gratitude and respect, often recognizing how it sets them apart from their peers in college and beyond.
