Upper School Students Can Now Earn College Credits from Lackawanna College

Starting in January 2025, 11th and 12th-grade students can earn college credits from Lackawanna College in a variety of different courses, including:

  • Human Physiology
  • AP Chemistry with Lab
  • AP Environmental Science
  • Research and Writing Seminar
  • AP Language and Composition
  • AP United States History
  • Precalculus with Limits
  • AP Calculus AB
  • Introduction to Circuits and Robotics

 

Additionally, starting in 11th grade, students can take advantage of dual enrollment tracks, creating the possibility of earning an associate’s degree while still enrolled at MMI. Optional tracks students can follow include:

  • Nursing
  • Pre-Allied Health
  • Business Studies
  • Business Administration
  • Health Science
  • Accounting
  • Criminal Justice
  • Human Services
  • Professional Studies

 

These credits are transferable and students do not need to attend Lackawanna College after MMI to benefit. The following are examples of schools students can transfer credits to:

  • Bloomsburg University
  • King’s College
  • Lebanon Valley College
  • Marywood University
  • Misericordia University
  • Penn State University
  • Pennsylvania College of Technology
  • Saint Joseph’s University
  • Temple University
  • University of Delaware
  • University of Pittsburgh
  • University of Scranton
  • Villanova University
  • West Chester University
  • Widener University
  • Wilkes University

Please note: This list is not all-inclusive and students are encouraged to check with their school of choice to see if the credits are transferable.

Participating in Lackawanna College’s college credit or dual enrollment program can save your student thousands of dollars toward a degree. Lackawanna College’s dual enrollment cost is 84% less than its traditional tuition rate.

Plus, if students decide to complete their education at Lackawanna College, they can earn even more through their Dual Enrollment Scholarship or Level Up Incentive Scholarship.
