Applying to MMI
There are three main components to MMI’s admissions process:
Entrance Evaluation
Register to attend any one of our Exploration Days to sit for the Entrance Evaluation.
Admissions Interview
The interview allows us to get to know our prospective students and families. We will ask questions of both the student and parents. Interviews are scheduled after the entrance exam and typically during the school day.
Application Review
Once a completed admissions application is received, the file is sent to the admissions committee for review. Admissions decisions are made need-blind and tuition assistance will only be awarded to those applicants selected for admission.
Once the student has taken the entrance evaluation, interviewed and the application is complete, their file will be presented to the Admissions Committee for a decision. We begin to admit students beginning in December each year and continue until our classes are filled. Classes are filled on a first-come, first served basis. Please be aware that we often have wait pools in many of our grades.
MMI also encourages you to schedule a Shadow Day so your child can come be a student here for a day. He/she will spend the day at MMI teamed up with a current MMI Ambassador student – going to class, eating lunch, observing activities and events. This can take place on any school day that would be convenient for you.
MMI Preparatory School admits students of any race, color, and national/ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national/ethnic origin in administration of the educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
