There are three main components to MMI's admissions process and they can be completed in any order.
Part 1: Entrance Exam. This comprehensive examination assesses quantitative and verbal ability, reading comprehension and mathematics.
Part 2: Admissions interview and tour. The interview is where we will discuss the results of the Entrance Exam, MMI’s curriculum and take a tour with your family. There will also be a few interview questions that will be asked of the prospective student. This interview takes place in February.
Part 3: Submit the actual application for admission.
Once the student has been tested, interviewed and the application is complete, their file will be presented to the Admissions Committee for a decision. We begin to admit students beginning in March each year and continue until our various classes are filled. Classes are filled on a first-come, first served basis. Please be aware that we often have wait pools in many of our grades.
MMI also encourages you to schedule a Shadow Day so your child can come be a student here for a day. He/she will spend the day at MMI teamed up with a current MMI Ambassador student - going to class, eating lunch, observing activities and events. This can take place on any school day that would be convenient for you.
MMI Preparatory School admits students of any race, color, and national/ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national/ethnic origin in administration of the educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
