Rian Patel ’30 is an involved student at MMI, with a strong appreciation for the supportive and welcoming community. Over the course of his time at MMI, he has been consistently impressed by the kindness and helpfulness of both faculty and students. On his first day, when he felt unsure and lost, teachers and classmates went out of their way to guide him, creating an environment where he immediately felt at ease.
Rian is an active member of the drama tech team, where he works behind the scenes handling lights and sound for the school’s drama productions. He enjoys adding his own creative twists to the performances, making the experience both fun and rewarding. His favorite aspect of MMI is the friendly atmosphere and the small class sizes, which allow for personalized attention and a deep sense of community. Rian values the genuine care that faculty and peers show in helping each student succeed.
Marlow Basalyga ’29 is an enthusiastic student at MMI, currently in the eighth grade. Since joining the school in sixth grade, she has embraced a wide range of extracurricular activities, including volleyball, cheerleading, softball, select chorus, concert band, and even the school play. Marlow is grateful for the faculty and students who make newcomers feel like part of the family right from the start. She appreciates how older students act as mentors, helping guide and inspire younger peers. Marlow encourages new students to embrace the community, assuring them that the MMI environment is one where everyone is eager to help them succeed and grow.
Delilah Yatsko ’26 is an engaged student at MMI, known for her strong involvement in academics and extracurricular activities. She enjoys being part of a tight-knit school community at MMI, where she gets to build connections with both her peers and teachers. Delilah is an active member of the cross-country team, where she’s in her second year, and she finds great joy in the supportive environment created by her coach and teammates. Additionally, Delilah discovered her interest in law through her involvement in mock trial, a program she started last year, where she had the opportunity to experience the courtroom firsthand.
Beyond sports and academics, Delilah participates in the work-study program, providing her with valuable work experience while helping with financial assistance, and she serves as a student ambassador, showcasing her leadership and dedication to the school community. She appreciates the teachers at MMI, who go above and beyond to provide extra help, often staying after school to help students who need it.
Delilah’s advice to incoming students is to be friendly, make connections, and take advantage of the school’s supportive environment by asking questions when needed.
Caleb Skuba ’26 is an engaged student with a strong passion for academics, sports, and extracurriculars. Known for his positive attitude and excellent time management skills, Caleb thrives in balancing his academic responsibilities with his involvement in sports and organizations. He is an active member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), National Honor Society, and participates in both golf and baseball.
At school, Caleb appreciates the close-knit community, where small class sizes foster personal connections with both his peers and teachers. His teachers know him on a personal level and offer tailored support to ensure his success. Caleb values the collaborative and uplifting environment, which he believes encourages academic excellence and personal growth. His love for sports and the supportive coaching staff further enhances his experience at MMI, motivating him to excel both on and off the field.
