Mallory Brown ’02 will give the Founder’s Day Address at MMI’s commencement ceremony on May 24.

After graduating from MMI, Brown attended the University of Notre Dame and majored in Political Science with a minor in German. She landed a position at Egon Zehnder, a global management consulting and executive search firm, immediately upon graduating from Notre Dame in 2006. The firm has 69 offices globally and works with companies in a variety of industries and sectors.

Brown is currently a Principal in the firm with responsibility for digital strategy projects and is the Global Head of Knowledge Management. Before taking a position in Berlin in 2011, Brown worked at the company’s Chicago and New York City offices where she specialized in the healthcare market. She previously held positions with the firm as the U.S. Life Sciences Practice Specialist, an Associate in Life Sciences, and an Analyst in Life Sciences.

Earlier this year, she was awarded an MBA from both Columbia University and London Business School (LBS) after completing a 20-month program delivered by both institutions to executives who are working full time. The EMBA-Global Columbia/LBS program is ranked fourth globally for executive MBA programs by the Financial Times.

In February, Brown visited MMI to speak to the senior class and offer advice about navigating their first steps into college life. She summed up her talk by telling the students to look to their college professors for guidance on selecting a major and remember to stay patient as they look to find their unique road to the future.

“Your professors will help you decide the major you want if you are undecided or will help you figure out what you are most passionate about in a certain subject,” she said. “Try to remain calm. You will always have periods of adversity. Trust the network of support you have around you and know that it will all work out.”

While at MMI, Brown was a member of the tennis team and yearbook club and served as yearbook editor during her senior year. She participated in Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science throughout school and tutored other students in math and science. During her time at Notre Dame, she was a member of the marching band and the Notre Dame/St. Mary’s Irish dance team and served as an undergraduate admissions tour guide.
