The MMI Prepper Playhouse will present The Wizard of Oz on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. in the MMI Athletic and Drama Complex. General admission ticket prices for all performances are $8 for adults and $6 for students. Reserved seating is available for $12 per ticket. The Wizard of Oz tells the story of young Dorothy Gale (Kaitlyn Bellizia) of Kansas who dreams of what lies over the rainbow. When a twister hits her farm and carries her to the merry old Land of Oz, Dorothy battles the Wicked Witch of the West (Hunter O’Clair) and soon learns that “there’s no place like home.” Join Dorothy, the Scarecrow (Elliot Blasko), the Tin Man (Benjamin Putnam), the Cowardly Lion (Andrew Decker), and Toto (Samuel Pacchioli) as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road in search of the mysterious Wizard of Oz (Kyle Falatko).
The cast also includes Lauren Herman, Logan Slusser, Justin Weiksner, Amanda Kalada-Kania, Aaron Harman, Daniel DeMelfi, Alyssa Sweda, Summer Evancho, Kelisa Hysenbegasi, Elise Hreha, Adam Tron, Emily Ryan, Millie Symbula, Reiley DeStefano, Alex Smith, Dustin Paul, Robert Orbin, Jason Salio, Caylee Herseim, Elizabeth O’Donnell, Amelia Minzola, John Drobnock, Heath Williams, Corrigan Nolasco, Ilona Stoffa, Diane Arias Tejada, Kate Malay, and Lauren Talbott.
Scenery and stage crewmembers include Hunter Blasko, Sydney Kohl, McKenna Gallagher, Ella Urosevich, Emily Ankiewicz, Catherine Havrilla, Madyson Hornack, Josiah Pacchioli, Macy Zenier, Kaitlyn McGeehan, Christine Park, Brian Payne, Ariah Saeed, Alexander Sessock, Bailey Slusser, Coleman Smith, Wesley Guarneri, Lauren Babinetz, and Gunner Jankouskas. Costume crewmembers include Brenna Eckhart, Althea Stewart, Gina Galada, Anna Cabell, Lindsay Horvat, Olivia Bartholomew, and Katelyn Overa.
The Prepper Playhouse production is under the guidance of MMI Drama Program Director Joanne Oakum and Art and Crew Director Lisa Marie Ferry. Ed Telatovich serves as music director, Susan Moyer is costume coordinator, and T.R. Laputka is Technical Director for the show.
