MMI Preparatory School recently received accreditation from the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS) and re-accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.

PAIS, under its Commission for Accreditation, offers a means to standards-based accreditation using a comprehensive set of standards for private independent schools in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Accreditation ensures the public that member schools meet and maintain articulated standards of educational excellence. PAIS evaluates schools for accreditation based on 10 standards: vision, mission and philosophy; governance; administration; financial management; institutional advancement; school and community; program; personnel; health and safety; and physical plant. Officials and peer reviewers from the organization visited MMI last fall for an on-site school accreditation visit and recently notified MMI that it received the accreditation.
Middle States Association accreditation is a multifaceted evaluation process that schools and school systems voluntarily use to demonstrate they are meeting a defined set of research-based performance standards. The 12 Middle States Standards for Accreditation are mission; governance and leadership; school improvement planning; finances; facilities; school organization and staff; health and safety; educational program; assessment and evidence of student learning; student services; student life and activities; and information resources.
Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools is a not-for-profit voluntary membership organization serving more than 100 independent schools, representing close to 40,000 compulsory school age students, in Pennsylvania and Delaware. As an association, which provides member services, PAIS represents and supports independent schools in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Delaware.
