MMI Preparatory School’s Prepper Playhouse will present an evening of one-act comedies December 11 and 12 at 7:00 P.M. in the MMI cafeteria.
All tickets are general admission only and seating is limited. Tickets are just $5 and are available at the door the night of the show or any time before the performance at the MMI Main Office.
The Upper School Drama Club students will perform Sure Thing by David Ives, which examines the endless variations of boy meets girl and the ensuing pickup line; Words, Words, Words by David Ives, which toys with the “Infinite Monkey Theorem,” the notion that if given an infinite amount of time, a room full of typewriters and chimpanzees could eventually produce the complete text of Hamlet, and The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon by Don Zolidis, where two narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza.
The Prepper Playhouse is under the direction of Joanne Oakum. Lindsey Walko and Luke Yamulla will portray Betty and Bill in Sure Thing. Evan Dryfoos, Dillon Merenich, and Erin Sari will play Swift, Milton, and Kafka in Words, Words, Words. The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon cast members are Gabriella DeMelfi as Narrator 1; Luke Yamulla as Actor; Kyle Falatko as Dirt Merchant and Doctor; Elise Hreha as Girl; Hunter O’Clair as Rumpelstiltskin and Devil’s Grandmother; Marc Lobitz as Prince 1, Hansel, and The Devil 2; Lauren Herman as Rapunzel; Julia Snyder as Gretel and Witch 2; Kelisa Hysenbegasi as Witch 1; Andrew Decker as Dwarf 1 and God; Garrett Kost as Narrator 2; Dillon Merenich as Dwarf 2; Lauren Toscano as Snow White; Lindsay Walko as Cinderella; Erin Sari as Wicked Stepsister, and Evan Dryfoos as Wicked Stepsister/Stepmother.
