MMI Preparatory School will host Visitation Night on Wednesday, January 16, starting at 6 p.m. and its Entrance and Scholarship Exam on Saturday, January 26 beginning at 9 a.m. on campus at 154 Centre Street in Freeland.
Visitation Night allows families to learn about the many advantages that an MMI education can provide their child from the sixth grade through high school. Students and parents have an opportunity to come to MMI and explore the campus.
The event will begin with a presentation by the school’s administration. Families will learn about MMI’s proven record of success in preparing students for college and beyond. They will also get details about the school’s curriculum, financial aid, athletics, and extracurricular activities. Families will also have the opportunity to talk with current students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Anyone who is considering an MMI education is encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be offered. Those planning to attend Visitation Night are asked to RSVP by emailing admissions@mmiprep.org or calling (570) 636-1108, and should arrive by 5:45 p.m. the night of the event.
During Visitation Night, Students can also sign up for the Entrance and Scholarship Exam, which is a comprehensive examination that assesses quantitative and verbal ability, reading comprehension, and mathematics. MMI will offer a full merit scholarship to the top-scoring student who scores in the 95th percentile or above in one area of each section of the exam. The full merit scholarship is only available to those students who take the test on January 26, 2019. The student who earns the scholarship has the opportunity to keep it throughout their time at MMI, provided they meet or exceed the established academic criteria.
MMI Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing Marci Hosier said, “The return on investment in an MMI education is clearly demonstrated when looking at our students’ success across all aspects of their lives. While last year’s graduating class of 38 received offers for more than $8.1 million in awards and scholarships to attend some of the best colleges and universities in the country, the leadership roles our students embrace, the activities they are involved in, and the general willingness to go above and beyond are what really makes our students and graduates shine. Whether a student comes to MMI in the 6th grade, 9th grade, or any grade, our caring faculty and staff work toward preparing them for their next step.” For more information, or to register, for Visitation Night and the Entrance and Scholarship Exam, contact Marci Hosier at (570)-636-1108.
