Seven MMI athletes received regional recognition for their performance during the 2017 fall sports season.
Junior golfer Jessica McClellan was selected as a First Team All-Star by both the Citizen’s Voice and Times Leader newspapers. She is a two-time regional qualifier, finished as the runner-up among District 2 Class AA girls, and advanced to the state tournament this season.
Junior Ian Dewar was named to the Wyoming Valley Conference (WVC) Coaches’ Association’s First Team for his play on the soccer field. Senior David Caldwell and sophomore Kai Mele were selected for the WVC Coaches’ Association Second Team.
Senior volleyball standouts Madison Perchak, Gabriella Kupsho, and Lauryn Banyas received Honorable Mention selections from the WVC Coaches’ Association.
