MMI Preparatory School recently received a $28,050 contribution from the United Way of Wyoming Valley, presented by Nina C. Dei Tos ‘01 MPA, Vice President of Resource Development. These funds will be used for scholarship support for MMI students who reside in the Wyoming Valley and meet the criteria for an Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Scholarship.
“MMI students have received nearly $2.7 million in scholarship support since 2005 thanks to the contributions of many area companies through the EITC program. On behalf of everyone at MMI, I would like to thank the United Way of Wyoming Valley for helping us make sure an MMI education is available to all Wyoming Valley students who wish to attend our school,” MMI Head of School Thomas G. Hood said.
“The United Way of Wyoming Valley is proud to participate in the EITC program and help children in the Wyoming Valley get the quality educations they need to succeed,” Dei Tos said.
