MMI Preparatory School held an awards ceremony on May 8 to honor middle school students for their academic achievements and inducted members into the National Junior Honor Society and the National Classical League for Latin.

MMI Preparatory School won first place in the Luzerne County Envirothon competition. The team consisted of Nathaniel Neidlinger, Kathryn Sissick, Nathan Sissick, Blake Warren, and Amanda Stoffa.

MMI Preparatory School inducted students in to multiple Honor Societies on March 26, 2024.

45 MMI students attended this year’s PA Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference held in Hershey from April 8 to April 10. The event boasted nearly 5,000 students from 500 different schools, all competing at various events throughout the weekend. Mrs. Katherine Zucco serves as MMI Preparatory School’s FBLA advisor.

MMI Preparatory School recently held an Athletic Awards Banquet to honor all winter season athletes and their achievements during the 2023-2024 school year.

Forty-eight MMI Preparatory School students participated in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) regional competition on March 2nd. Twenty-eight students earned first awards (one earned an additional first award in a second category), 18 earned second awards, and three earned third awards. The first award recipients will represent MMI in the state competition at the University Park Campus of Penn State on May 20th.

Senior, Paul Neyhart represented MMI Preparatory School at the 2024 PMEA District 9 Orchestra Festival at Wyoming Valley West High School on February 7th-9th.

Jozef Dovicak and Joseph Mayernik captured first place in MMI Preparatory School’s annual Spanish II Piñata contest.

68 MMI students competed in the FBLA Region 16 competition, with 43 of those students earning the right to compete at the PA State FBLA Leadership Conference in Hershey this spring.

Seven instrumental music students represented MMI Preparatory School at the 2023 Junior Wind Band Celebration at Marywood University on December 1-2.

MMI Preparatory School recently held an Athletic Awards Banquet to honor all fall season athletes and their achievements during the 2023-2024 school year.

Students at MMI Preparatory School honored their School’s founders, Eckley Brinton Coxe, and his wife, Sophia Georgianna Coxe, during a program at graveside service and at the School on Tuesday, giving thanks for the Coxes’ contributions to the School and the area.

MMI Preparatory School recently received a $500 Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance grant from Onvo. The School will use the funds to purchase Raspberry Pi computers for Upper School Technology students and math manipulatives for middle school learning.
